Janice plays back-to-back with Lorraine. Here is their joint bio.
Lorraine Ashdown and Janice Vee are radio personalities and DJs who first met at Kiss 100 FM. They launched the infamous Drivetime show on Kiss called “Full Frontal”. It featured top guests like Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, David Bowie, Destiny’s Child, Duran Duran and Lenny Kravitz and DJ mixes from David Morales to Roger Sanchez, Roni Size, Basement Jaxx, Carl Cox etc.
The girls have always been in-demand DJs, whether supporting The Spice Girls at Wembley Arena or DJing at the Moloko afterparty. They have DJ'd across London and the UK and warmed up for the likes of Masters at Work, Gilles Peterson and Marshall Jefferson, and playing in Ibiza at MTV Rocks and Manumission. Their musical exploits saw them do DJ tours of Brazil and play at clubs in Paris and Amsterdam.
More recently, they have been active in the London scene playing at the Liquid Spirit Weekender, Martinez private member’s club, 40 Something Disco, The Arts Club, The Southport Weekender, Margate Soul Festival and White City House, plus various private events and parties. The girls have a vast musical heritage, and they can cater for any occasion with sets including club classics, house, EDM, commercial dance, hip hop, soul, disco, boogie and rare groove.
Lorraine and Janice host a popular weekly show on Mi-Soul radio every Friday from 1pm - 4pm; the show reaches over 35,000 listeners.
